Who are we?

We’re Brent and Janet — a Kiwi husband-and-wife team who accidentally made a 20-year detour.

Born and bred in New Zealand (Brent is 5th gen and Janet 3rd), we moved to the United States with our two kids at 40 planning a two-year adventure. Two decades later, retirement has found us restless and ready to roam again — this time with a plan: share the best of both worlds.

What we do

  • Help US visitors experience New Zealand beyond the usual postcard spots — the hidden beaches, small-town cafés, boutique farms, local guides and authentic experiences that make a trip truly Kiwi.

  • Promote New Zealand “off the beaten track” businesses, products and experiences to US audiences and partners.

Why we’re different

  • Bicultural, binational: we live and work between North Canterbury, New Zealand, and California, USA, giving us real, local presence in both countries.

  • Practical skills and empathy: Janet is a registered nurse, bringing care, organization and people skills; Brent is a construction pro, offering logistics, problem-solving and hands-on know-how.

  • Camping and road-trip experts: decades of camping in both countries, an extensive Thousand Trails membership in the US and access to a large, enthusiastic camping community mean we know how to craft adventurous, comfortable itineraries for travelers who love the outdoors.

  • Business-ready addresses in both North Canterbury and California — useful for partnerships, logistics and trustworthy local representation.

How we can we help you?

  • Custom trip planning and on-the-ground advice for US travelers heading to NZ — itineraries, local contacts, small-business visits, campsite recommendations, health and safety tips, and insider routes.

  • Promotion and vetting of NZ tourism businesses and experiences for US markets — marketing support, introductions, and curated recommendations.

  • Facilitation for US tourism businesses wanting to partner with or promote in New Zealand and vice versa — logistics support, local introductions and cultural navigation.

  • Group or community travel coordination leveraging our Thousand Trails network and camping know-how

A little extra

We enjoy tailoring experiences that mix the scenic with the human: artisan producers, family-run stays, community events, and honest Kiwi hospitality.

We value sustainability and supporting local production.

Whether you’re planning a memorable trip, seeking insider tips, or aiming to get your brand in front of curious US visitors, we’ll bring the local know-how, creative flair and a dash of quirky NZ charm.
